A Conshohocken Dance instructor is under arrest on charges of statutory rape of a 15 year old student. Twenty eight year old Frank Laurenzi who owns "Urban Elegance Dance Club" on Fayette Street met the alleged victim while teaching at "LeRoux School of Dance" in Limerick Township when she was 10 years old. Laurenzi faces rape and child pornography charges.

Philadelphia City Council has given preliminary approval to a bill that makes it illegal to leave pets outdoors in extreme hot and cold weather. This is in addition to state cruelty laws requiring food, drink, shelter and veterinary care. The new bill requires dog and cat owners to bring their pets inside when temperatures fall below 32 or rise above 85 degrees.

Five educators were arrested Thursday amid charges of cheating and accusations of tampering with public records, forgery, conspiracy and more arrests are expected. At Cayuga Elementary, authorities say the principal; Evelyn Cortez broadcast orders to tamper with tests over the school’s loudspeaker. The 5 arrested were suspended immediately but will still be paid because they have not been convicted.
