Clay Aiken Suspends Campaign, School Bus Attack Lawsuit, Mayfair Tire Slasher Probation

Clay Aiken, the former American Idol finalist, has suspended his campaign for Congress because his opponent died suddenly at his home. Keith Crisco was 71 years old and in a very close race with Aiken in a North Carolina democratic primary. Aiken's lead was about 400 votes. Crisco apparently fell at home in Asheboro.

A lawsuit has been filed by the families of two boys attacked on a Delaware County school bus. C.J. Buonadonna and Dylan Fonner allegedly were attacked by fellow students on October 9th during a trip home from the Alternative High School in Media, part of the Delaware County Intermediate Unit. Named in the suit are the bus driver and school officials.

The Mayfair Tire Slasher is getting probation. David Toledo admitted to a jury that he was the guy slashing tires in the neighborhood between February and April 2012. The two years’ probation drew sharp criticism from the local Town Watch who says Toledo’s terrorization of Mayfair also cost the police department $400,000 during the investigation.
