A Catholic School principal in Bucks County has pulled an invitation to an Oscars themed graduation dance because it featured a photo of this year's Oscar host, Ellen DeGeneres. Apparently it has nothing to do with using Ellen's likeness without permission. Nancy Matteo, the principal at St. Andrew Elementary said she is withdrawing and destroying the invitations because Ellen "lives her life outside the teachings of the Catholic Church."

A 24 year old man was shot early this morning after he and his girlfriend were robbed in Wissinoming Park. The couple was walking on the 5700 block of Frankford Avenue when they were confronted by two men. The woman dropped her bag and the couple turned and ran. The robbers fired shots anyway hitting the man in the shoulder. He is in stable condition. Police have one man in custody. The shooter is still at large.

There is a boil water advisory in effect in several townships in Montgomery County that will run through Friday. Contamination issues closed schools and businesses early on Wednesday. 18,000 Pennsylvania American Water customers are without clean water. The advisory applies to these areas: East Norriton Township, West Norriton Township, Lower Providence Township, Whitpain Township, Worcester Township, Whitemarsh Township. Two consecutive days of clean test are required before the advisory is lifted.

Weather
Scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. 81 in Center City.
