A special education teacher in Philadelphia was arraigned overnight on charges she had sexual relations with a 14 year old student. Thirty year old Stephanie Amato (pictured), a special-ed teacher at the Ethan Allen School in Mayfair turned herself into the Special Victims Unit yesterday. Amato has been a teacher at Ethan Allen for six years and is accused of having sex with the student numerous times in her car and her home in Northeast Philly.

Today is the one year anniversary since the deadly building collapse at 22nd and Market in Center City that took the lives of six people and injured fourteen others. A ceremony today honoring those lost was attended by Mayor Nutter, victims’ family. The city of Philadelphia says the site will be turned into a memorial park.

Philadelphia police now say the son of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, Baron Alexander will face charges of burglary, robbery, receiving stolen property and other offenses after breaking into a neighbor’s home where he was shot by the resident. Alexander changed his name after his father, Dr. Kermit Gosnell was found to have murdered three babies born alive in his clinic.
