Six protestors were arrested at a demonstration in front of the Comcast Center in Center City Monday evening. The demonstration started at the Union League at 4 p.m., but protesters marched to the Comcast Center to call on Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett to reverse cuts to the education budget. Corbett was attending a fundraiser inside with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Philadelphia Police say the demonstrators were charged with a summary offense for obstructing the roadway, and all were released.

The Philadelphia Fire Department responded to a reported shuttle bus fire outside of Philadelphia international Airport Monday night. Fire crews responded around 8:45 p.m. to Terminal E baggage claim on Arrivals roadway. No injuries were reported and the fire has been contained.

Tracy Morgan remains hospitalized a following a six-vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike Saturday morning. Rumors about amputating his leg are completely fabricated. Tracy had surgery on his broken leg. The accident happened when a limousine carrying Morgan and six other people was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer, then overturned. Morgan, a former ‘Saturday Night Live’ and ’30 Rock’ star, was returning from a show at The Rollins Center at Dover Downs in Delaware at the time of the accident.

Weather, June 10

Showers and isolated thunderstorms. High 86 in Center City.
