Philadelphia is the place to be for 4th of July. We are the birthplace of the nation, and we certainly know how to celebrate. Head to the Old City, 5th and Market, from 10-2 for readings of the Declaration, Parade, and tapping of the Liberty Bell. The Party on the Parkway runs all afternoon from Noon to 7pm with activities, music, games, and food. That all culminates with “Largest Free Concert in America” of course that's the Philly 4th of July Jam & Fireworks at the Art Museum. This year's lineup features Philly's own The Roots with Ed Sheeran, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Hudson, Aloe Blacc, and Ariana Grande, as well as Vicci Martinez and hosted by actor and comedian Marlon Wayans. It's all free, so have fun, and enjoy the 4th.

A body recovered in Ocean City, NJ is believed to be that of a teenager gone missing earlier this week. A boater discovered the body floating in the water just south of the Ocean City-Longport Bridge at around 12:30 pm. Authorities believe that it is the body of missing 14-year-old Corinthian "Cory" Hammond who was swept away by a rip current while playing on a jetty near 9th Street around 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Life guards were not on duty at the time. Coast Guard, police, and beach patrol searched an area of 50 square miles for the teenager. Coast Guard called off their search at 4:30 pm Monday.

A Philadelphia man has turned himself into police after the body of his mother was discovered inside a basement freezer. William Carrasquillo surrendered to the East Detective Division and is expected to face Abuse of a Corpse charges. Detectives, acting on a tip, found the 83-year-old woman stuffed inside a freezer in the basement of their Feltonville home on Tuesday. They believe she probably has been inside there since January. Carrasquillo told police that he got scared when she passed away of natural causes.

Tonight,
Scattered Thunderstorms, temperatures into the upper 70's this evening in Center City.
