The very first Wawa store will be closing. Wawa store number 1 at McDade Boulevard and Swarthmore Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County opened 50 years ago. The store will be closing and moving to a new larger location on McDade where it will become a Super Wawa with six gasoline islands. According to Wawa, the new store will still be referred to as store number one.

A paraplegic West Philadelphia man shot and killed his brother while he was apparently protecting their 38 year old sister while she was being attacked by the brother. Police say 40 year old John Mapp was physically abusive toward his sister then turned toward his brother in the wheelchair who opened fire, hitting his brother in the chest. No charges have been filed yet and may be a case of self-defense.

Rescue crews are searching the waters off of Longport at the Jersey shore for a missing boater. Late last night three people in a boat struck a jetty and the driver of the boat went into the water. Coast Guard crews and helicopters were called in this morning after unsuccessful searches last night.

Sports
The Phillies are home tonight with the San Francisco Giants. Cliff Lee will pitch.

Weather
