A vigil is planned tonight for the three children killed in the carjacking hit and run last week. The event will take place at 6 this evening at Germantown and Allegheny Avenues in North Philadelphia. The mother of the children Keisha Williams remains hospitalized in critical condition. According to her family, Williams is in a medically induced coma and does not know her children have died.

Temple University has announced it will make test scores optional as a standard for admission. Temple hopes to cultivate talented students who don’t score well on SAT and ACT test but exhibit other promising attributes. Students who opt not to submit test scores have to answer written questions designed to assess leadership, self-awareness and determination.

The two men charged with carjacking and killing three children may spend life in prison. That’s the word from DA Seth Williams who says the suspects will remain in jail without bail. Nineteen year old Jonathan Rosa and Cornelius Crawford, 24, allegedly carjacked a woman’s car at gunpoint and were sexually assaulting her in the car when they crashed into a family fruit stand.

Sports
The Phillies are in New York tonight with the Mets.

Weather
Mostly sunny today. 82 in Center City.
