Carjacking Victims Funeral Today, Holy Family University Ranks Tops, Foxcatcher Movie Due November

Funerals for the three children killed in a carjacking were held this morning at Seventh-Day Adventist church on Oxford Avenue. Keiearra Williams, Joseph Reed, and Terrance Moore were struck and killed by an out of control carjacked vehicle in North Philadelphia on July 25th. Their mother who one of three others injured, remains hospitalized.

Money Magazine has put Northeast Philadelphia's Holy Family University with the best in class. The magazine's special August issue on "Best College Values” ranked Holy Family at #4 as a “Value All-Star” and at #6 for “Great Schools You Can Actually Get Into.” University president, Sister Maureen McGarrity is thrilled with the recognition and says Holy Family strives to remain affordable and respond to the needs of community.

A movie about the 1996 fatal shooting of Olympic wrestler Dave Shultz at John du Pont’s Foxcatcher estate in Newtown Square is due out this Fall. The movie, “Foxcatcher” drew rave reviews at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Foxcatcher stars Steve Carrell as eccentric millionaire, John du Pont and Mark Ruffalo as Dave Schultz.
