Murder Charges in Alleged Car Burglary; Moorestown Break-In; No Bomb at Whole Foods

The man who shot and killed another man last week for allegedly trying to break into his truck has been charged with murder. 56-year-old Brian Baur was arrested for the murder of 30-year-old Richard Hull of Maple Shade, New Jersey who was found at the scene on the 4500 block of Torresdale Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds. Baur was waiting when police arrived and admitted he had shot Hull.

There has been another burglary reported in Moorestown, New Jersey. Police are investigating the latest in a string of daytime burglaries to hit the area. This time, a homeowner on the 300 block of Bridgeboro Road returned home yesterday to find a side door kicked in. Jewelry, cash and gift cards were stolen. Police are looking for links to other home intrusions in the area.

That suspicious package that caused the evacuation of Whole Foods and some other stores in the Plymouth Meeting Mall turned out to be a suitcase with an accordion inside. Fortunately the bomb squad did not blow it up. A simple x-ray revealed the musical instrument and the search is on for the rightful owner. This was the second threat in a month at Whole Foods. A bomb threat had been called in on August 8th.
