Dad Kills Daughter's Boyfriend; Trump Plaza Closes; Rutgers Apologizes to PSU for Fan Rudeness

A Philadelphia man shot and killed his daughter's boyfriend possible mistaking him for an intruder as the boyfriend climbed through a window. It happened at an apartment building in the Holme Circle section on the 2800 block of Axe Factory Road. The father and daughter live in the apartment. The 31 year old boyfriend was killed by a single gunshot to the head.

Another Atlantic City Casino has closed. At 5:59 am today, Trump Plaza became the fourth casino to shut down this year. The casino had opened in 1984 and after 30 years let its 1100 employees go. There is a possibility the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City will also close in November.

Rutgers University officials delivered an apology on Monday to Penn State. Rutgers is embarrassed over the unsportsmanlike conduct of its fans at the Big Ten football game last weekend between the two schools. Rutgers fans mocked the Jerry Sandusky scandal with t-shirts that read, “Beat Ped State.” During the game Rutgers fans chanted “Sandusky” and rolled out a Penn State banner with the Nittany Lion logo replaced by a sexually explicit image of a man and a child.
