Pumpkins can breath easier this year, though not to delight of thousands of participants at the annual World Championship Punkin Chunkin. This year's 28th Annual event scheduled to be held in Kent County, DE, Oct. 24-26 is being postponed until next year on Nov. 6-8, 2015. The event was previously held on a farm in nearby Sussex County for years but that property became no longer available. Organizers planned to move it to the grounds of the Dover International Speedway where Firefly Music Festival is held. The new location brought new requirements and permits that John Huber, president of the World Championship Punkin Chunkin Association, said “we've never had to work with before.” They simply ran out of time to get it all together. 115 teams have registered for this year in categories like Air Cannon, Catapult, Centrifugal, Human powered, Torsion, and Trebuchet. Teams will have the option to defer their entry fees to next year. Refunds will be given for tickets, camping, and tailgating passes. For more information: www.punkinchunkin.com

The decomposing bodies of a husband and wife were discovered in the bathroom of their home in Delaware. Police were called to the couple's home on South Winding Brooke Drive in the Clearbrooke Estates community in Seaford after a friend said they hadn't heard from them in a few days and they weren't answered their door. Police were able to get into the house and find the two in a bathroom together. Their bodies had started to decompose. The couple has been identified as Miriam and Raymond Bell, both 62. The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death. There were no signs of foul play.

A Philadelphia Firefighter has now been charged for allegedly impersonating a police officer and sexually assaulting a women. It happened on Wednesday at 10:30 pm on the 1300 block of West Ruscomb Street in Logan. A woman walking down the street was approached by a man in a truck. The man, Lt. Jemal Johnson, implied that he was a police officer and told the woman to get into his truck. He told her he wouldn't arrest her if she performed a sex act. The victim was able to get away after doing what he told her and called police. Johnson is charged with Kidnapping, Indecent Deviant Sexual Intercourse, Sexual Assault, Unlawful Restraint, Indecent Assault, Simple Assault, False Imprisonment, and Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer. He posted 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
