Pennsylvania State Police gave an update on their search for the trooper ambush fugitive Eric Frein in Northeast Pennsylvania. Frein has been managing to allude authorities since the attack at the Blooming Grove barracks on September 12th. Today, Lt. Col. George Bivens read from a journal they found. It described the shots Frein took at State Police Cpl. Byron Dickson and Trooper Alex Douglass that night. "Friday September 12, got a shot around 11 p.m. and took it. He dropped. I was surprised at how quick. I took a follow-up shot on his head, neck area. He was still and quiet after that." Frein also describes getting his Jeep struck in the swamp as a "disaster." Because authorites have found pipe bombs and evidence of bomb making materials they have added two felony counts of possession of a weapon of mass destruction. They have also updated his picture to include a beard and a mohawk-style haircut.

A Montgomery County mother has been arrested and faces drug and child endangerment charges for buying heroin for and using with her teenage daughter and her 16-year-old boyfriend. Patricia Davenport of Harleysville, PA, introduced her 15-year-old daughter to heroin in April by having her snort it off the table. Over the rest of the summer the two teenagers would accompany her almost daily to North Philadelphia to buy the drug. She'd shoot them up on the way back, all the while with the 8-year-old step-brother in the car as a witness. It wasn't until the start of the school year at Soudertown Area High School that a friend of the 15-year-old noticed something was wrong and reported it. The school nurse found track marks after an examination. Davenport's friend Megan Rudolph, 26, also faces charges for doing drugs with the group. Davenport is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Red Bull has agreed to pay $13 million to settle a class action lawsuit over it's slogan and marketing. Plaintiff Benjamin Careathers brought the suit to the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York in 2013 because Red Bull “does not give you wings,” despite it's marketing claims. He argued that the slogan wasn't merely “puffery” but actual deceptive claims of the products' ability to increase performance, concentration and reaction speed. The settlement includes anyone who may have purchased a Red Bull product since 2002, no proof of purchase required. You have the option of a $10 reimbursement or $15 in Red Bull products. You must go to this website to register your claim.
