Ebola Death in U.S.; Corbett Wolf Debates Finish; Record Breaking Fish

The first person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the United States has died. Forty two year old Thomas Eric Duncan died in a hospital in Dallas, Texas just a little more than a week after he had been diagnosed with the deadly virus. Duncan brought the disease from his home in Liberia but did not experience symptoms until he got to the U.S. Health officials have quarantined and are monitoring dozens of people here who came in contact with Duncan before he died.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett and Democratic challenger Tom Wolf faced off in a final debate yesterday – their last debate before the election. Corbett says he is not finished yet and criticized Wolf’s plan to raise income taxes. Wolf says he can do a better job and portrays Corbett as a weak leader. Opinion polls show that Wolf is leading Corbett in the minds of voters.

A Pennsylvania man caught a confirmed record breaking fish (pictured) in Delaware Bay. David Walker of Boothwyn caught the giant sheepshead on September 29th fishing from a boat in the lower part of the bay. The fish weighed in at 17.1 pounds, was 28 inches long with a girth of 24 inches. Walker caught the trophy on a green crab and shattered the sheepshead record of 15.11 pounds set in 2012.
