New York has its first case of Ebola. A Doctors Without Borders physician who recently returned from West Africa where he treated Ebola patients has tested positive for the virus. Craig Spencer, the 33 year old emergency room doctor is the fourth confirmed case of Ebola in the US.

The billionaire investor planning to purchase the Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City says it will almost certainly close its doors. Carl Icahn says the casino’s finances are dire, in part blaming the workers union. He says that instead of working with the company to keep the Taj alive, the union is doing everything to destroy the possibility of saving over 3,000 jobs.

The remains of American Indian and U.S. Olympian Jim Thorpe will stay in its Pennsylvania grave where he was laid to rest six decades ago. Thorpe’s sons had been fighting to move the body to Oklahoma where Jim Thorpe was born. A Philadelphia-based U.S. Court of Appeals judge overturned another ruling that had declared the PA town a museum giving the family the right to the remains.

World Series Game 3 tonight in San Francisco. The Giants and Kansas City Royals are tied 1-1.
