Human remains were found as workers were digging a swimming pool in South Jersey on Monday. Crews were shoveling out a hole in a backyard on the 600 block of Banks Street in Riverton, Burlington County when they discovered the skeleton. The Burlington County Prosecutor's office was called in to investigate as well as a forensic anthropologist from the New Jersey State Police. They believe that the remains could be over 100 years old and there is no indication of foul play. The anthropologist will examine the remains to determine if it was a man or woman and what may have happened to them.

A water main break in far Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday forced the closure of a busy road. The Philadelphia Water Department responded to the scene around 1 p.m. Southampton Road was closed from the Roosevelt Boulevard to McNulty both directions. A 12-inch main broke and flooded the road. PWD shut down the water. After examining the damage they determined the road will remain closed until further notice.

The PHL Live Center Stage Showcase round continues tonight at Milkboy Philadelphia. The unique music festival/competition launched by Councilman-at-large David Oh is searching for the best talent in the Philadelphia area. In August and September artists/musicians/bands submitted their applications in one of 10 different genres from country to classical and rock to r&b. Judges chose 5 finalists in each category. Now the finalists are performing at venues across the city over the next two weeks in front of the judges and the crowds for a chance to win great prizes. Tonight is the Rock showcase. You can hear every showcase broadcast live hear on iradiophilly.
