Federal kidnapping charges have been filed against Delvin Barnes, the suspect in the abduction of Carlesha Freeland Gaither. Gaither was rescued and Barnes arrested by U.S. Marshals after a coordinated effort by Philadelphia police and the FBI in Jessup Maryland. Barnes has a rap sheet that is over 30 pages long full of charges from Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Gruesome details are emerging in the horrific story of the Chester County couple who beat her three year old son to death inside their mobile home. Little Scott McMillan was tortured over a three day period – hung by his feet, beaten with a homemade whip, a curtain rod, a piece of aluminum siding, and punched while taped to a chair. The boy was discovered Tuesday covered with cuts, bruises, puncture wounds, and his brain was bleeding. Murder charges have been files against the boy’s mother, Jillian Tate and Gary Fellenbaum. The D.A. will seek the death penalty.

Sunoco has announced it will build a $2.5 billion pipeline that will quadruple the volume of Marcellus Shale natural gas liquids moving through the Philadelphia area. The Mariner East 2 project will expand the activity between Appalachian shale-gas fields and Sunoco’s Marcus Hook Industrial Complex. The Marcellus Shale region now accounts for nearly one quarter of our country’s natural gas production.
