Local teen Joe Chambers has become a hero after saving a cop's life Saturday night. Chambers, along with the help of Dante Johnson, pulled the unconscious Officer Mark Kimsey from his burning vehicle, moments before it exploded. Officer Kimsey had been trapped inside his car after colliding with an pickup truck on 28th and Tasker Street. Both Kimsey and the truck's driver survived.

Security guards at a South Philadelphia strip club shot a man early yesterday when the 27-year-old allegedly attempted to run them over with his minivan. The man was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in stable condition, where he is being treated for gunshot wounds to the shoulders and legs. It happened at 12:35 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Club Onyx along the 2900 block of Christopher Columbus Boulevard. The man was arguing with the guards before getting into his minivan and attempting to run them over. Guards opened fire and the van drove off. Police found him on the ramp to I-95 at Broad Street.

A woman in her 30's was found dead by police Saturday night in Nicetown, after being shot multiple times in the head. The victim, who was unidentified, was found by police at about 11:20 PM on the sidewalk. She was declared dead at the scene, on the 1600 block of Rowan Street. Police do not yet have a motive and the investigation is ongoing.
