Excavation of a Jersey shore beach has uncovered what may be remains from a 19th century ship. A new seawall is being installed in Ocean County on Normandy Beach. About 20 feet under the surface, workers pulled up wooden timbers that state archaeologists believe may be pieces of the 19th century ship, Ayreshire which ran aground carrying 202 people off Squan Beach during a snowstorm in 1850.

Murder charges have been filed against 57 year old Denise Taylor in the brutal beating death of 62 year old Saundra Barley last week. Barley was found naked and beaten to death in her home in West Philadelphia. Barley had taken Denise Taylor in out of kindness. Taylor called police claiming that three men broke in and beat them.
