Giant Salmon Recall, Code Blue Advisory, Warminster Rape Arrest

A New York City company is recalling vacuum packs of smoked Nova salmon that were sold to Giant supermarkets in the Mid-Atlantic region because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Acme Smoked Fish Corp. said Tuesday that it is voluntarily recalling 564 pounds of Imported (Product of Denmark) Acme 4oz. (113g) smoked salmon with a lot code of L.05122014. The company says the salmon was distributed to Giant Food of Landover, Maryland, which operates supermarkets in Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, and D.C. Consumers are urged to return the product to the store or discard it. Information about refunds can be obtained from Acme at 1-800-221-0795.

Several Code Blue weather advisories have been issued across the Delaware Valley. The City of Philadelphia has declared a Code Blue Alert advising of severe cold weather. The Code Blue is in effect as of Tuesday, November 18th at 7 a.m. and will end Thursday, November 20th at 8 a.m. For more information, visit: http://www.phila.gov/ Officials say a Code Blue is made in Montgomery County when weather conditions pose a threat of serious harm or death to individuals without a shelter.

Police in Warminster say theyâ€™ve arrested a man on rape charges. Fifty-five-year-old Robert Callahan was arrested on Monday as the result of an investigation into a rape that happened on Nov. 15, 2014. The victim, a 54-year-old female, was reportedly known to Callahan.
