The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has granted Philadelphia's second casino license to Stadium Casino, LLC Live! Hotel and Casino. The new gaming complex and hotel will be just outside the centerfield wall at Citizens Bank Park. Casino developers plan to break ground at the South Philadelphia location at 900 Packer Avenue in about 6 months.

The New Jersey Attorney General's Office is investigating the violent deaths of Cooper Health System CEO John P. Sheridan Jr. and his wife, Joyce in a fire in their home on September 28th. Sources close to the investigation confirmed that the Sheridans both had multiple stab wounds when their bodies were pulled from the fire in their home in Somerset County. New Jersey State Police are assisting with what is described as "a very complex case."

Central Bucks West has now fired their football coach after the recently revealed hazing scandal. Brian Hensel was let go Tuesday after six seasons on the sideline for not properly supervising players. Hensel keeps his job as a chemistry teacher at the school. In mid-October, allegations of player hazing forced the school to cancel the last two games of CB West’s football season.
