Florida State University police fatally shot a gunman at the campus library early this morning. The gunman had entered the library and shot three students while hundreds of others were studying inside. The gunman emerged from the library and ignored an order from police to drop his weapon. He fired a shot at police who returned fire, killing him. Of the three students wounded, one was treated and released. Two remain hospitalized.

Baggage handlers at Philadelphia International Airport formed picket lines this morning. They work for airline subcontractor PrimeFlight and walked out to protest unfair labor practices. Picket lines formed outside of departure terminals B and C at about 7 am today and threaten to disrupt travel heading into one of the busiest travel weeks of the year.

The Fudgy Wudgy man has died. Andy Markee sold ice cream along the beaches of North Wildwood from his rolling Fudgy Wudgy cart for as long as many people can remember. Markee became a summertime fixture and favorite treat stop for families for generations. There have been many ice cream salesmen, but Andy was THE Fudgy Wudgy man. Andy Markee was 76 years old.
