The organizers of the World Meeting of Families next year in Philadelphia are hoping that as many a 10,000 area families will volunteer to host visitors in their homes during next year's event. Pope Francis recently confirmed his presence in Philadelphia during the event, which could draw 1-2 million people to the Ben Franklin Parkway for his outdoor mass. The hotels are already filling up fast and organizers are looking for other ways to lodge the 15,000 people who will be attending the conference. So far about 100 have signed up through Homestay, the organizing company. Sign up https://worldmeeting2015.homestaymanager.com/host/sign_up

A car crashed into the chapel honoring the September 11th victims of Flight 93 in Western Pennsylvania, temporarily closing it. A car hit the chapel wall after a two-car accident on Tuesday killing a Shanksville woman and injuring the other driver. Most Rev. Ramzi Musallam, who oversees the chapel, says an engineer will have to asses the damage before it can be reopened.

The 95th annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade marched down the Ben Franklin Parkway this morning from 20th and JFK Boulevard up to the Art Museum steps. The nation's oldest Thanksgiving parade a tradition for many of the thousands who lined the parkway to see the floats, balloons, and bands. Despite the chilly temperatures this morning, many attendees wouldn't miss this parade for anything, coming out to see it every year for decades and bringing their kids along to start their own traditions.

Tonight,
Mostly Clear, temperatures in the mid 30's this evening in Center City.
