Temperatures were in the 30's yesterday for the 95th annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade. It is the oldest turkey day parade in the country. Thousands of people lined the Ben Franklin Parkway to take in the floats, singers, dancers and of course, Santa at the end. Then most parties moved indoors to gather with family, enjoy a Thanksgiving feast and watch the Eagles devour the Cowboys.

Radnor Township would like to get three colleges there to pay $1 million a year into the local tax coffers. Villanova, Cabrini and Eastern University pay nothing. They are non-profits, exempt from real estate taxes. Radnor wants the schools to make voluntary payments to help cover police, fire and municipal services. The schools say, “no” reminding local officials that they collectively help drive the economy there.

The 11-year-old boy who had initially survived injuries from a shooting last week inside a Tabernacle, New Jersey home has died. Alexander Harriman died at Cooper Hospital. All 4 family members, including the mother and three children have now died. According to police, 44-year-old Jeaninne LePage shot her children and then turned the gun on herself, using a pillow to muffle the sound of the shots.
