Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel (aka Dwight Grant) is in critical condition after being shot this morning in his home in South Jersey. It happened after 9:00 a.m. in the 800 block of Spruce Avenue in Pleasantville, NJ. 40-year-old Sigel had just returned from dropping his kids off at school when he was shot in the abdomen and the bullet exited through his back. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Sigel's attorney Fortunato Perri, Jr. says that he was not the intended target. Sigel was released from jail in August after serving two years on federal tax evasion charges. He then moved to a halfway house in Philadelphia until mid-September before being allowed back to his NJ home on electronic monitoring. The house arrest would have ended Saturday.

Sigel had surgery and is recovering. Police need to talk to him to find out more about what happened.

Authorities have made an arrest in connection with a fire early Thursday morning in Lower Pottsgrove Township that destroyed a police officer's home. 52-year-old Donna M. Krupp is charged with arson, recklessly endangering another person, risking a catastrophe, and possession of an instrument of crime. Krupp is a neighbor of Detective Ernie Morris of the Limerick Township Police Department. Morris and family were on vacation in Disney World at the time of the blaze. State police, the Montgomery County District Attorney's office, and township police were able to use physical evidence and surveillance video to determine that it was arson. They believe the motive involved the prior arrests of Krupp's son. She is being held on $1,000,000 bail.
