A Good Samaritan was seriously injured early Sunday morning after being hit by a car on I-95 while helping another driver. It happened around 5:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Rt 430 in near Route 420 in Tinicum Township, PA. 31-year-old Daniel Callaway, a volunteer fireman, stopped to help a driver who had been in a single car crash. While Callaway was helping the other driver he was hit by another vehicle and critically injured. He was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center. The driver who hit him stopped and stayed at the scene. Callaway has been a volunteer firefighter for 11 years. He was on his way to work at Wilmington Manor Fire Company in New Castle, DE.

A security guard was found dead Sunday afternoon tied up in a van in Southwest Philadelphia. Police say the 67-year-old man was discovered just after 3:00 pm at the Lock Room Self Storage in the 2200 block of 62nd Street. He was tied up and had facial injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released his identity or cause of death. They are investigating this incident as a homicide.

Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel (aka Dwight Grant) remains in critical condition following emergency surgery Friday. Sigel was brought to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City after being shot in the stomach outside his Pleasantville, NJ, home Friday morning. It happened aroun 9:00 a.m. along the 800 block of Spruce Avenue. Sigel was returning after dropping his children off at school. His lawyer says that the hip hop star was not the intended target. So far police have questioned several people at the scene but have not been able to talk to Sigel himself because he has been under heavy sedation while recovering from his injuries. Sigel was serving monitored house arrest following a two year sentence for federal tax evasion. The sentence ended on Saturday. The rapper has a comeback concert scheduled for December 18th at the TLA, although that is seriously in jeopardy.
