A peaceful rally in support of Philadelphia Police is planned for tonight at 7 p.m. in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philly at Frankford and Cottman avenues. According to the event's Facebook page, over 2,000 people are planning to attend wearing blue. Unwrapped gifts will be collected for children at CHOP. The Philly PD is not associated with the rally. Although they say they are not making a statement about any particular incident, a police involved shooting early Monday morning in Mayfair that left 26-year-old Brandon Tate-Brown dead has only added to recent tensions. Tate-Brown was shot while reaching for a gun in his car during an altercation with an officer after a traffic stop. Police in West Philadelphia today are investigating graffiti written on a fence, church, and building with phrases like "Cop Live Don't Matter," "F*** COPS," and "PPD Killed Brandon Tate-Brown." The organizers of the rally will not tolerate negativity.

UPDATE: Around 400 people gathered at the intersection of Frankford, Cottman, and Ryan Avenues in Mayfair tonight in support of the good police officers of the Philadelphia Police officers. Some waved signs saying, "Blue Lives Matter." Many were cheering and cars driving by honked their horns in support.

A South Jersey woman's pet bobcat must now stay at the zoo according to a judge. Rocky the bobcat belongs to Ginny Fine of Stafford Township but has a habit of escaping from home and running wild. It has happened several times since April and Municipal Judge Damian Murray has finally said that Fine can no longer keep the animal because she has demonstrated she cannot keep it contained. Fine was ordered to pay a $500 fine and $560 in restitution to the zoo. Her lawyer argued that the animal hasn't harmed anyone and she has tried to keep the 38-pound animal from escaping with an enclosure on her property. The judge said, "Some things are not meant to be. Rocky living in your household is one of them."

Health officials are warning consumers not to eat prepackaged caramel apples after they have been linked to 5 deaths and a few dozen illnesses this fall over 10 states. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have not yet determined what brands are affected. 28 people were sickened; 26 were hospitalized with listeria bacteria food poisoning between Oct. 17 and Nov. 27. Deaths occurred in Minnesota and Texas. Illnesses occurred in Arizona, California, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Tonight,
Clear skies, temperatures in the mid/low 30's this evening in Center City
