The right lane of the Walt Whitman bridge into New Jersey will be closed for 5 weeks starting August 26.

This week begins a series of lane closures because of this redecking project.

This week's restrictions are for preliminary work with lane closures on different days and times.
---------------------------------------------------------------

August 15 and August 16, three lanes were scheduled to close at various times, starting with the right eastbound lane from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by the adjacent eastbound lane from 10 a.m. till 2.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the right lane into Philadelphia will close.
Wednesday August 17 and Thursday August 18, the patterns change. The right eastbound lane will continue to be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.

On Wednesday August 17, the middle lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon, and the two right westbound lanes will be off-limits from noon to 5 p.m.

On Thursday August 18, the two right westbound lanes will close from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The main alternatives are the Ben Franklin Bridge to the north and the Commodore Barry Bridge to the south.
