The Fountain Final Dinner, SEPTA Cops Deliver Baby, Clark Griswold Garden State Parkway Exit

The Fountain Restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel on Logan Square is a Triple-A five-diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Five-star restaurant, the only in the region to hold such a distinction, but with the Four Seasons intending a move to the top of the planned Comcast Tower, the restaurant is closing its doors and will serve its final dinner Saturday night. Chef William DiStefano says they picked the holiday weekend for the final dinner because they wanted the end to be a celebration. The restaurant will stay open for breakfast and lunch. The hotel will close its doors in June to prepare for the transition.

Two SEPTA transit cops gave the gift of life… literally, as they delivered a baby Thursday aboard the Market-Frankford El in Center City. Seargent Daniel Caban says a passerby told him a woman was ready to give birth inside a subway car. He and Officer Dorrell James rushed downstairs to the platform at the 15th Street Station. James, also a father, says the delivery went as well as he could have hoped. Both the mother and her baby boy were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

At least one "Christmas Vacation" fan was driving on New Jersey’s Garden State Parkway Thursday. Someone changed a sign for the highway's exit for Clark and Westfield to read "Clark Griswold." Griswold is the father's character played by Chevy Chase in the Christmas cult classic. State Police spokesman Sgt. Gregory Williams confirms photos of the sign posted on social media are real. Williams says the taped-on Griswold sign at the highway’s exit 135 later was removed by the Turnpike Authority.
