A motorcyclist was killed Friday after colliding with a box truck in Upper Merion. It happened after 5:00 pm at 800 River Road near Gate #4 of the Philadelphia Inquirer facility in Swedeland. The motorcycle crossed over the double yellow line and collided head first into the truck killing 50-year-old Eric Kiefer from Conshohocken instantly. The driver of the truck, 30-year-old Mohamed Ba of Philadelphia, was flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with several non-life threatening injuries. Police are still investigating the accident.

Around 100 Philadelphia Police officers took buses to New York today for the funeral of Officer Rafael Ramos to show support and stand in solidarity with thousands of other officers. Ramos was one of two officers targeted and killed by Ismaaiyl Brinsley in their patrol car last week. Vice President Joe Biden spoke at the memorial service held at a Queens church offering condolences to the family and praising the work of New York's officers. Governor Andrew Cuomo, Police Commissioner Bill Bratton, and Mayor Bill de Blasio also spoke. Many officers turned their backs during de Blasio's remarks for his perceived support for anti-police protesters.

A Paradise, Lancaster County, PA man has been charged with killing his wife on Christmas Eve with a knife and an axe. Authorities say that Dustin Lee Klopp punched Stephanie Kilhefner in the face knocking her to the floor. He then cut her throat with a knife and hit her in the head with an axe several times before putting her body in a bag in the shed. Kloop took the couple's two children to his parents' house to celebrate Christmas. On Christmas day, he called state police and told them about the body. He is charged with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse and evidence-tampering in the death of Kilhefner. Police have declined to say what the couple were arguing about at the time. The incident is still under investigation.
