The identity of the boy killed by a police cruiser has been revealed. He is 10 year old Matthew McCloskey who was struck and fatally injured by police cruiser responding to a call in Franklin Township, Gloucester County Sunday. Still no word from the police department on whether the police car's lights and sirens were on at the time of the incident. Matthew was killed crossing Delsea Drive on his way to a friend’s house for a sleepover.

Evidence that the missing AirAsia flight 8501 went into the water has surfaced from the sea. Dozens of bodies and debris are being recovered about 100 miles from Borneo Island. The plane crashed Sunday with 162 people on board. Floating debris was first spotted about 10 miles from the plane’s last charted coordinates. A shadowy figure was spotted in about 75 feet of water, possibly the remains of the wreckage.

How about a fireball for your holidays? The American Meteor Society is saying a "huge fireball" streaked through the sky Monday night and was visible from Maryland to Quebec, including the Philadelphia region. The society said reports pegged the sightings to around 6:35 p.m. in the northern sky. Motorist, Pete Czech, caught it on his dashcam while driving on I-287 in Morristown, N.J., and posted it on YouTube. If you saw the fireball, you can file a report at http://www.amsmeteors.org/members/fireball/report-a-fireball
