Officials in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, are investigating a reported case of physician suspected measles. The County Health Department has evaluated and tested the patient, a 15-year-old boy. Specimens have been sent to the State Public Health Laboratory to determine if the teen does infact have the measles. The patient is self-isolating at home until the results of the tests are complete. It is not clear if the teen had been vaccinated against the virus or not. There is currently a measles outbreak in the United States with more than 150 cases reported. The disease was believed to have been eliminated around the turn of the century. A Chester County teacher is under arrest after being accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student and giving her alcohol back in 2008. The allegations only surfaced a few weeks ago when the victim told police on January 14th. 35-year-old Mark Hostutler is an English teacher at Coatesville Area Senior High School and JV boy's basketball coach at at West Chester East High School and has been suspended from both. On four different occasions, Hostutler would pick up the girl and take her to either his home or his parents' home. He would give her an Amaretto and Coke and they would have sex. The incidents happened in June 2008. He is charged with corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children. Law enforcement officials say the victim came forward because she felt now was the right time. Hostutler is free on $20,000 bail and is banned from school property and contact with students.
