Police in South Jersey believe three suspects (2 women, 1 man) set a fire inside a Burlington County Walmart. It happened at 11:30 a.m. on February 1st at the Walmart on Route 70 in Evesham Township. They took a took a “Fire-Puck” starting brick from a shelf. They then used it to start a fire on the floor of an aisle containing 'highly-combustible products.' The trio then left the store. Employees were able to extinguish the fire quickly and no one was injured. Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to contact the Evesham Police Department at 856-983-1116 or e-mail to facebook@eveshampd.org

Philadelphia Police responded to Jefferson Station, formerly Market East, after 1 o'clock this afternoon to investigate reports of an assault on a woman. A 28-year-old woman lay on the ground of the concourse of the SEPTA station. She had been badly beaten with visible injuries to her face and head. The woman was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. The victim also may have been raped. Witnesses say that she went into a secluded part of the station near with a man and emerged with injuries. Police are reviewing surveillance from the area.

A 19-year-old Kennett Square man is now charged with homicide in the death of his 18-year-old girlfriend from Chadds Ford, a freshman student at Millersville University. Gregorio Orrostieta, who does not attend the university, and Karlie Hall had gotten into an argument at a party on Saturday night at the Lancaster County school. They returned to Hall's dorm room and the argument became physical. Orrostieta said he pushed her and she hit her head and that he slapped her across the face. Around 5:30 a.m. when authorities responded to his 911 call he was performing CPR. After an autopsy today, the medical examiner determined that Hall died from a much more severe beating then he described and strangulation. Orrostieta was initially charged with aggravated assault, he now faces homicide charges. He remains in custody on $1.5 million bail.
