One of the pilots was locked out of the cockpit. The black box was recovered from the Germanwings Flight 9525 that crashed into the Alps killing all 150 people on board. After a smooth takeoff, audio recordings capture one of the pilots leaving the cockpit, and then banging on the door with increasing urgency until the plane crashed. On the recordings, the pilot in the cockpit can be heard breathing until impact but did not respond to calls from his copilot or the control tower.

Philadelphia is popular and growing in population. The area grew for the eighth year in a row in 2014, and outside the city, surrounding counties were stable, according to new census data. By the end of 2014, there were 34,291 more people in Philadelphia than in 2010. Suburban population in Montgomery and Chester Counties was up sharply, while falling in Burlington and Camden Counties and staying relatively stable in Gloucester, Bucks, and Delaware Counties.

Investigators say they have evidence that both brothers fired shots that killed Officer Robert Wilson III and are considering seeking the death penalty. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday for the two men, Carlton Hipps and Ramone Williams. Wilson was murdered during a robbery attempt at a GameStop in Philadelphia while he shopped for a birthday gift for his son.
