SEPTA Driver Finds 4 Year Old Alone, Port Richmond Rape, SEPTA Bus Driver Assaulted

A SEPTA bus driver found a four-year-old girl outside in the rain overnight by herself next to a bus stop at Torresdale Avenue and Magee Street. The driver let the girl on the bus until police arrived. It remains unclear how long she was outside before she was discovered. A two hour effort then followed to find the girl’s family and home. The girl was eventually taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital where she would later be reunited with her mother. She did not suffer any injuries.

Police say a woman was raped by two teens late Thursday night, who then robbed her in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia on the 3900 block of Richmond Street. Police responded to the scene after hearing reports of a woman screaming. The victim was coming home from the gym when she was approached by the suspects. After raping her and taking cash along with other items from the victim, the suspects tried to get away. Police say they located both suspects near the scene shortly after and arrested them. The victim positively identified the suspects and the victim’s stolen items were found in the suspect’s possession.

Authorities say a SEPTA bus driver was assaulted by two men early Friday morning in North Philadelphia. This happened just after 12:30 a.m. at Broad Street and Lehigh Avenue. Authorities say the driver was punched in the face by the suspects, who then fled the scene. The driver was taken to Temple Hospital for evaluation. There’s no word on his condition at this time.
