Electronic music pioneers, Kraftwerk, have announced a rare 12-date North American leg of their current 3D live tour for this fall. The multimedia tour has brought them to cities around the world, and they have stopped for residencies here in the states in New York, Los Angeles, and Oakland. However, they haven't played in many of the cities on this announced tour in decades or ever before. They will take over the Electric Factory in Philadelphia on October 2nd.

Kraftwerk was formed by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in 1970 in Düsseldorf, Germany. They are credited with creating, influencing, and still pushing the boundaries of the genres of electronic music. Kraftwerk has had to build many of their own instruments, synths, drum machines, etc. especially in the early days. The list of hip hop, dance, rock, new wave artists and more that cite Kraftwerk as inspiration continues to grow. The current lineup includes Hütter with Fritz Hilbert, Henning Schmitz and Falk Grieffenhagen. They received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grammys in 2014 and have been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
