Man Steals Security Cameras; Accused Killer Breaks Down; Verizon to Buy AOL

Philadelphia police are looking for the man they say surveillance cameras caught stealing surveillance cameras in South Philly. Police admit they're puzzled as to why the man decided to steal surveillance cameras but they suspect he may plan to come back – maybe for a robbery. It happened at a new nail salon that's about to open and had high quality cameras installed. Pictures of the theft are available on

The man accused of killing CHOP pediatrician Melissa Ketunuti broke down on the witness stand during testimony. Jason Smith is charged with first degree murder in an attack on the 35 year old doctor on January 21, 2014 while there on an exterminating job. Smith choked up as he recounted his last moments as a free man, the moments before police stormed his Levittown home and arrested him for a grisly murder that he says he did not commit.

Verizon is buying AOL for about $4.4 billion, advancing the telecom's push in both mobile and advertising fields. The acquisition gives Verizon an entryway into the increasingly competitive online video space. Verizon is the country's largest wireless carrier as well as an Internet and TV provider. Verizon recently began offering tiered cable bundles, putting it at odds with major content companies like ESPN, as it sees more customers cut the cord in favor of streaming video.
