A man was arrested today for the robbery of a Bank of America branch in Plymouth Meeting on June 3rd. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fired a shot into the bank as he was leaving. Surveillance footage of the suspect was released to the public. The man was arrested at his home near New Hope Street and Fornace Street in Norristown. They found the gun hidden among some toys. His identity will be released when he is formally charged.

A well-known Philadelphia stage actor was left critically injured and unconscious after a hit-and-run accident in Center City early Tuesday morning. 68-year-old Michael Toner was found around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday on the 1100 block of Market Street by a passer-by. Police are not exactly sure when or where he was hit. He was rushed to Jefferson Hospital where they had to amputate his leg. Police are looking for any help in determining what happened. The investigation is ongoing.

Authorities in Delaware are looking for an inmate who fled while out on work detail in North Wilmington. It happened around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday on Governor Printz Boulevard near Cauffiel Parkway. 25-year-old Isaiah Thompson left his work crew from Plummer Community Corrections Center and fled toward Stoney Creek. He is described as a white man, 5' 8" tall, 175 lbs. with long brown hair. He was wearing a blue prison uniform and yellow vest, with white t-shirt and dark shorts underneath. He was serving a work release sentence for attempted car jacking. Anyone with information about Thompson’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Department of Correction at 302-761-2800.

Tonight,
Partly Cloudy, temperatures in the 70s this evening in Center City
