Tuesday's storms have caused big problems on SEPTA rail lines this morning. Downed trees and power outages have cause suspensions on regional rails. The Media-Elwyn and Fox Chase lines are suspended. The Paoli Thorndale Line is shut down between Thorndale and Malvern. Norristown High Speed line is suspended between Radnor and Norristown and there's no service at the Chester Transportation Center. For alternate route suggestions, head to SEPTA's alternate service page. For current updates on all SEPTA routes, visit SEPTA’s System Status page.

High winds from last night’s storm knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of people, and many outages remain this morning. There are more than 200,000 in South Jersey without power, including 53,000 PSE&G customers in Camden County.
Atlantic City Electric is reporting more than 150,000 outages throughout several South Jersey counties. Here in PA, PECO is reporting 95,000 outages in Delaware County, 61,000 in Chester County, 8,500 in Montgomery County, and about 12,000 people without power in Philadelphia.

A major U.S. flag maker, Valley Forge Flag based in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, just outside of Reading, Berks County, has decided to stop making confederate flags. Valley Forge Flag president Reggie Vandenbosch says the tragedy in Charleston played a role in his decision. Vandenbosch, whose company produces all kinds of flags and products, says confederate flags and sales made up very little of the company’s revenue or products. He says he will decide in coming days what to do with the small inventory of confederate flags his company still has.
