About 137,000 people are still without power following Tuesday night's powerful storms. PECO is reporting 16,000 without power in Delaware County, 13,000 in the dark in Chester County and 900 customers without service in Montgomery County. In New Jersey, PSE&G is reporting 4,600 customers still without service in Burlington County, 3,600 without power in Camden County and 500 out in Gloucester County. Atlantic Electric says 50,000 customers still don’t have power in Gloucester County, 10,000 are still in the dark in Burlington County, about 6,400 out in Atlantic County and 34,000 without power in Camden County.

Wildwood, New Jersey has made a list of the top 10 beach towns worldwide. According to The Daily Meal, a website that highlights food topics, Wildwood beach’s close proximity “to attractions like the boardwalk and beachfront amusement park, which makes for a very picturesque backdrop, make it a shoo-in for our list.” The city’s clubs and bars also add to the international flair, according to the press release. Other beach towns that made the list are in Spain, Thailand, India and Brazil.

Tourism officials in Montgomery County are hoping to lure some of the millions of people who will visit the region for the World Meeting of Families to Valley Forge National Park for what’s being billed as ‘Valley Forge Family Day.’ Montgomery County Commissioner Josh Shapiro says the visit from Pope Francis transcends religion. And Valley Forge National Historical Park hopes to play host to visitors from near and far on Friday, September 25th, the eve of Pope Francis’ arrival, with Valley Forge Family Day. Children will be able to join the continental army, learning how to march and drill as continental soldiers, musket demonstrations, and ranger guided walks where visitors can learn about the 1777-1778 winter encampment.
