Governor Chris Christie heads to the gym of his old high school in Livingston, New Jersey, this morning, where he's expected to launch his bid for president of the United States. Rider University political science professor Ben Dworkin says there is no doubt Christie is entering the race. Dworkin says the two things that will help distinguish Christie from the 13 other GOP hopefuls, are his personality and time. The seven months before Iowa and New Hampshire vote will give Christie a chance to take advantage of his skills at retail politics.

One of two men wanted in connection with a shooting in West Philadelphia surrendered to police. Philadelphia Police say Dominic Lamar turned himself in Monday afternoon. The shooting happened on June 20th at the 4100 block of Ogden Street. Police say 10 people were struck with birdshot fired from a shotgun. Police say a second suspect, identified by authorities as Kyleif Harley, remains on the loose.

Philadelphia Police say a pregnant woman lost her baby after she was shot in West Oak Lane. Now, investigators are trying to find the shooter. Authorities found two people shot on the 7300 block of Thouron Avenue. The victims were a 46-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman. The woman was found in the front passenger seat of a still running SUV. Chief Inspector Scott Small says police rushed her to the hospital, where Small says, “Doctors discovered she was approximately four months pregnant.” Surgery was done, and the baby did not make it. Police say the woman was shot in the back. She’s in critical condition at this time. Authorities say her boyfriend was shot in his legs and he’s stable.
