SEPTA Pope Train Deadline; Shooting in Ferguson; Eagles Injury at Open Practice

SEPTA has extended the deadline for people who were awarded regional rail tickets in the lottery but have not paid for them yet. If you were notified, you must purchase your tickets by 3 pm today. Tickets not purchased will be awarded to other lottery applicants who were passed over in the first round. So check your spam folder for the SEPTA invite and buy the passes by 3 pm today.

A man who opened fire on officers in Ferguson, Missouri, on the anniversary of Michael Brown's death was critically wounded when the officers shot back. Officers had been tracking the man, who they believed was armed, during a protest The man approached the officers, who were in an unmarked police van, and opened fire. The officers returned fire from inside the vehicle and then pursued the man on foot when he ran. The man again fired on the officers and all four officers fired back. He was struck and fell. The man was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition.

The Eagles held an open practice yesterday at Lincoln Financial Field. Thousands of fans enjoyed an up close look at the 2015 squad. There was one injury. Cornerback, JaCorey Shepherd went down after a collision with running back Darren Sproles. He was carted off the field and will have an MRI today focusing on his ACL.
