West Philadelphia Double Shooting, Train Kills Person in Glenolden, Poll Suggests Christie Step Down

Two men in their mid 20's were shot Wednesday night in West Philadelphia. This happened on the 5300 block of Chancellor Street. Both victims were shot in their feet, following what they say was an earlier incident. One victim was transported to the hospital, the other walked in on their own. Police say a family member of one of the victims showed up to the scene with a gun and was arrested.

Officials say a person is dead after they were struck by an Amtrak train Wednesday night in Glenolden, Delaware County. This happened around 11 p.m. near East Glenolden Avenue and Willow Way. Amtrak officials say a train traveling from Washington, D.C. to New York came in contact with the victim on the tracks. Their identity has not yet been released. There were no injuries to any passenger or crew members, according to officials.

The latest Rutgers-Eagleton Poll suggests that most New Jersey voters would like Governor Chris Christie to resign so he can be free to pursue his Presidential ambitions. The question was split two ways. Half of those asked straight up if Christie should go opted 54-41 for resignation. Assistant poll director Ashley Koning says the other half were asked about a bid now in the legislature that would force Christie, and future governors, to resign to pursue the Presidency. Most believe Christie’s constant out-of-state traveling hurts his ability to govern effectively.
