A new list of the country's top high schools is out, and several local schools have made the cut. According to Newsweek magazine, The Charter School of Wilmington is the highest ranked school in the area, at No. 15 overall. Conestoga High School in Berwyn received the top marks in Pennsylvania, ranking at 51. Northern New Jersey has four of the top five high schools overall, according to the list. The highest ranked New Jersey school in the area is Haddonfield Memorial High School at No. 84. The rankings are based on test results, graduation rates and the number of students who go to college after graduating. Major highways including the Schuylkill Expressway won’t be completely closed for the Pope’s visit. Officially-registered buses are being allowed on those roads. The Schuylkill Expressway, the Vine Expressway, and part of City Avenue are closing during the weekend of the Papal visit, but PennDOT says buses registered with ‘Go Ground’, the World Meeting of Families transportation manager , will have access to those otherwise-closed roads. Registration is open until August 31, and more than 1,000 buses from commercial and private operators and parishes have already signed up.

Not to be outdone by the Cape May Brewing Company’s Pope-inspired offering, “Y.O.P.O,” The Philadelphia Brewing Company will soon make their own Holy Father brew available to the masses. Coming soon to beer-drinkers in the area is Holy Wooder. The company unveiled the beer on their Instagram page on Tuesday as a draft only, Belgian style Tripel. Holy Wooder “guarantees to cleanse your soul and set you on the path to righteousness,” the post reads. The company says the beer will be available this September ahead of the Papal Visit.
