Tom Brady Wins in Court; Doctor Saves Drowning Boy in Wildwood; Papal Survey of Businesses

Tom Brady's four-game suspension from the NFL for his role in DeflateGate has been nullified by a federal judge. In May, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell handed down the punishment, which Brady officially appealed. Although Goodell was the arbitrator for the appeal, he changed his original ruling and has now decided that the quarterback presented sufficient evidence to reduce his punishment for allegedly having knowledge that Patriots staff deflated footballs ahead of the AFC Championship against the Indianapolis Colts.

A north Jersey doctor is being called a hero after he saved a drowning 3-year-old's life while on vacation at Wildwood Crest. Dr. Jonathan O'Brien saw the unconscious child floating face down in a pool at the Stockton Beach House on Monday afternoon. The condo complex has no designated lifeguard. Police say O'Brien successfully resuscitated the East Greenwich Township boy, who regained consciousness as police and rescue crews arrived on scene.

According to a survey, Philadelphia businesses are "optimistic" about the papal visit. City Controller Alan Butkovitz said recent changes made by the city and the World Meeting of Families staffs have been "encouraging." Representatives from the Controller's Office hand-delivered 250 letters to hotels, restaurants and retail stores within the "Francis Festival Grounds," the area formerly known as the "Traffic Box." Butkovitz said the biggest concern expressed by those who responded to the survey was the lack of information from the city about food deliveries and trash removal.
