Reports of women being assaulted and harassed along the Schuylkill Banks are causing alarm among Philadelphia runners and prompted the nonprofit that oversees the trail to encourage victims to report incidents to authorities. The Schuylkill Banks Development Corp. posted messages on its website and social media accounts Thursday, urging those who witness or experience incidents on the popular running and cycling trail to contact police.

Top security officials are in town today reviewing plans for Pope Francis’s visit. U.S. Homeland Security secretary Jeh Johnson and U.S. Secret Service director Joe Clancy will be in Philadelphia to make sure the FBI, the Secret Service and law enforcement are coordinated and prepared for the papal visit. They’ll tour the Multi-Agency Communications Center — the command center for the Philadelphia leg of the papal trip.

iRadioPhilly will carry LIVE BROADCASTS from the World Meeting of Families Events, Festival and the Papal Visit. For more information, go to Papal Visit Broadcast

Karnamaya Mongar, 41, of Virginia, died in 2009 at Gosnell's clinic in Powelton Village. Her daughter filed a lawsuit against Gosnell and his clinic in 2011.
