Philadelphia area colleges and universities were on alert today after a non-specific threat against a "a university near Philadelphia" was revealed to local officials by the FBI and ATF on Sunday. The threat was posted on forum site 4chan. It was on the same message board that contained a similar threat against Oregon schools the day before the attack there last week. Officials took it seriously and public safety was visibly increased on campuses in and around the city. Although no schools were closed due to the threat, many classes were unofficially canceled as students decided to stay home. The threat of violence contained a 2 pm deadline which expired without incident this afternoon. SEE ALSO: Alert Sent to Philadelphia Colleges and Threat Made on 4Tran

22-year-old Christina Regusters, who abducted a 5-year-old girl from her Kindergarten classroom and sexually assaulted her overnight, has been sentenced to 40 years to life with the possibility of parole after 40 years. Regusters was found guilty of Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault and Indecent Deviate Sexual Intercourse. In January 2013, she dressed in Muslim attire to pose as the girl's mother and take her from the classroom in Bryant Elementary School in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood. She led the girl a few blocks to a home she shared and violently assaulted her. The girl was found by a Good Samaritan the next morning, half naked in a play ground in Upper Darby. Regusters claims she did not assault the girl. The girl, now 8, still undergoes treatment.

A Chester County woman has been arrested and charged with injecting two teenagers, including her own daughter with heroin. 34-year-old Jessica Lynn Riffey of Honey Brook was arrested by West Caln Township police and charged with endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors, drug delivery, and related offenses. Authorities say that she supplied her 14-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old boy with the drug, and injected them on several occasions. She is being held in Chester County Prison in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
