At 11:00 am local time, authorities responded to the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, CA for the reports of a shooting. Witnesses say that three heavily armed and vested shooters entered the building and opened fire. 14 people are dead and 17 injured were taken to area hospitals. The suspects fled the scene in dark SUV. No motive is known at this time. Several hundred people work at the facility and have been cleared from the buildings. The Inland Regional Center provides social services for people with development disabilities. The building that was targeted holds a conference center that can be rented out by outside groups. SWAT engaged a SUV a few miles from the initial location after 3 pm local. Two suspects are dead (a man and a woman), another is possibly being sought. One officer was wounded with non-life threatening injuries. One suspect was taken into custody at the scene. The investigation is still preliminary and ongoing.

UPDATE: The male suspect shot has been identified as 28-year-old Syed Farook. The female suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Tashfeen Malik. They were reportedly married. Farook was a county employee that was attending a meeting/holiday party in the conference center Wednesday before leaving early and returning as a shooter.

The bodies of a missing mother and 3-year-old daughter, missing since Friday, were recovered in Cumberland County, New Jersey, on Tuesday night and her ex-boyfriend was charged with murder. 34-year-old Ricardo Santiago of Millville turned himself into Vineland police on Tuesday night. He led authorities to the bodies of 34-year-old Neidy Ramirez and her daughter, Genesis, in a rural area of the county. Ramirez also has a 5-year-old and an 8-year-old. They are safe with family. Santiago is the father of the 5-year-old and there may have been a dispute between the co-parents. He is being held in Cumberland County jail on $1 million bail.

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jahlil Okafor has been suspended for two games by the team effective immediately. A series of incidents involving the 19-year-old and late night violent behavior outside of night clubs have been reported over the past week. TMZ Sports posted a video of Okafor getting into a fight outside of a club in Boston with some hecklers following a Sixers loss the night before Thanksgiving. Today, TMZ released another video from that same night and more of that fight just further down the road. In both videos, Okafor is seen swinging punches and knocking over another combatant. Boston Police are investigating the incident. Okafor has apologized for his behavior. The underage player will be accompanied by security personnel provided by the team when he goes out. Jahlil turns 20 and still not legal on December 15th. The 76ers released this statement:

"Jahlil is a very important part of our organization and our future. While we are disappointed with his recent actions, we have faith in him as a valued member of the Sixers. We will provide the necessary resources to support him on his journey and will do our part to help him succeed both on and off the court," the 76ers' statement reads.
