King Philly Laundry Assault Video, Rothman Ice Rink Open, DeMarco Murray Controversy

Police have released surveillance video of a laundromat employee fighting with an armed robbery suspect. It happened at King Philly Laundry on the 5800 block of Market Street in West Philadelphia on December 2. The suspect fired a shot at the worker and pistol whipped him as they struggled in the office and the laundromat. Police say the suspect goes by the name of "Saleem". The victim was treated for injuries to his face.

You’ll be able to skate a figure eight at the Rothman Ice Skating Rink outside City Hall despite forecasted temperatures in the 60’s over the next several days. A two stage, 200 ton chiller helps keep the 60 x 120-foot ice solid on the 60 x 120-foot rink. There is a network of five miles of tubing hidden beneath the plaza’s surface, pumping glycol through the system. The ice rink will remain open until February 28th, no matter how warm or cold it is.

As the Eagles get ready for a reunion with LeSean McCoy, their current starting running back is at the center of controversy. DeMarco Murray watched from the sidelines in the second half last Sunday as the Eagles pulled off a shocking upset in New England. A report surfaced on Monday that Murray went to talk to Owner Jeffrey Lurie about his role with the team. Meanwhile, the coaching staff is not revealing how Murray will be used in Sunday’s game against Buffalo. Quarterback Sam Bradford insists there are no issues with Murray and his teammates in the locker room. Running Back Ryan Mathews has been cleared after going through the NFL’s concussion protocol. Mathews was running well before his injury, and Kelly would love to see Mathews get his share of carries on Sunday.
