It was a violent night in Philadelphia. Multiple shootings landed five people in the hospital. There is not a known motive in any of the shootings. One of the shootings happened in Fairhill. Police say two males and one female were all hit in a hail of 15 gunshots. It occurred on the 1500 block of East Somerset. Another shooting, which occurred in Lawncrest, left two 19-year-old males shot. One shooting happened on the 5900 block of Palmetto Street, the other on Sanger Street. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage. Both incidents remain under investigation.

An annual gathering of Pennsylvania government and business leaders in New York is attracting controversy this year because state republicans have invited Donald Trump to keynote their luncheon. The GOP Commonwealth Club plans its Pennsylvania Society lunch, a major fundraiser, well in advance but it didn’t announce Trump’s appearance until the day before Thanksgiving. This week, Marwan Kreidie of the Philadelphia Arab-American Community Development Corp, asked the party to disinvite Trump. The party did not respond. Trump is still the headliner.

The co-founders of a Philly based natural deodorant company will appear on ABC’s “Shark Tank” tonight in hopes of getting a deal with the likes of Mark Cuban. Jess Edelstien and Sarah Ribner will pitch their natural deodorant company to five industry titans in the hopes of getting one or more of the sharks to invest in their idea. It’s called PiperWai. It has a gender neutral scent so it can be used by both men and women. If funded, they hope to expand to larger retailers. “Shark Tank” airs Friday nights at 9 p.m. on ABC. There’s a watch party at the Bourse on 4th and Chestnut tonight at 8 p.m.
